Epilepsy
One of the most common neurological disorders in dogs is
epilepsy. Between four and 14 percent of dogs suffer from seizures that occur
over a period of time—a condition we call epilepsy. Head injuries, strokes and
genetics may cause epilepsy, and some breeds of dogs seem more susceptible to
the disorder. Cats and other pets may also have epilepsy, but it is less
common.
