Costs vary, depending on the procedure and whether or not complications arise. Please encourage your client to ask for estimates up front. Our personnel would be happy to provide them.
Outpatient Care
Charges are to be paid in full for all animals treated and discharged the same day. Payments may be made by cash, check, VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express.
Inpatient Care
Payment of charges for hospitalized animals must follow this schedule:
Following an initial examination by a staff veterinarian, a deposit of 50% of the hospital estimate must be made before further diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures are initiated. Upon discharge, all charges are required to be paid in full.
The VMTH does not directly finance client accounts. However, we now have a contract with "CareCredit." CareCredit is affiliated with GE Card Services and is able to provide financing to our clients pending a short application and approval process. Qualified clients are able to obtain interest-free financing for up to a 3 month period with a minimum of $300.00 charge to CareCredit on their veterinary account.

VMTH Building Project
An $11 million renovation/expansion will help the VMTH serve its clientele even better. Your donations are necessary to make this project a reality. State funding is not available, so funds must be raised privately. Your donations will:
- Provide additional small animal examination rooms, so clients don't have to wait as long for a room to open up
- Add a ward to house cancer patients while they're in the hospital for treatment
- Improve facilities for the currently very crowded dentistry, ophthalmology, and orthopedics areas by adding much-needed space
- Update and expand facilities for special species
- Expand the neonatal and orphan foal service area
- Provide an indoor arena for year-round equine lameness diagnosis
- Update the loading/unloading area for large animals to increase safety
Companion Animal Fund
- Supports animal health studies dealing with diseases and disorders that afflict animals
- Provides scholarships for financially strapped veterinary students
- Allows purchase of special equipment to provide better diagnosis and treatment for patients
