High producing dairy cows are metabolic athletes that are always moving along a fine line between health and crisis. Subtle problems in nutrition, housing, milking systems, and management can create serious herd problems on modern dairy farms. The Food Animal Production Medicine (FAPM) section is focused on interactions between health and nutrition, facilities, and management. The FAPM group is pleased to provide investigative services to dairy herds on a referral from a local veterinarian.
