Complete blood count (CBC): This test includes red blood cell (RBC), white blood cell (WBC), and platelet counts, measurement of hemoglobin concentration, examination of a stained film of blood to identify the types of WBC present and to assess the appearance of all blood cells, as well as an evaluation of the color of plasma and the protein content of blood.
